The FormEdFaith team are committed to the principles of comprehensive Angicanism.
The Via Media in action.
The Creators.
Starting from the foundation laid by the FAISS (Formative Anglican Induction for School Staff) program of last decade, Jonathan and Fiona worked from the idea that comprehensive Anglicanism is at its best when people from a diverse range of backgrounds work together for the common good: many voices, each making space for the others, valuing strengths, acknowledging and working at our weaknesses and always giving thanks to God.
Jonathan and Fiona have worked for the diocese and beyond in many roles since the 90s, always as educators and always dedicated to the idea that the creativity that springs from Anglican faith is life-giving and exciting.
The Presenters.
AI is presented by a diverse cast from around the diocese. We filmed in our little studio here at SFC, but also in parishes, at Clergy conferences, schools, Anglicare, and by the side of the road. We asked a LOT of people to present and 99% said yes with great enthusiasm! Our cast communicate as much by who they are as by what they say. They’re a wonderful group!
The Script.
The script for AI was developed by Jonathan and Fiona in concert with a large group of consultees, including Bishops, priests and lay people from around the diocese. That group included people from a range of theological backgrounds, in order to be true to the ideas of comprehensive Anglicanism. The script was tweaked right to the moment of filming and beyond, to make this course easy to understand, informative and inspiring right to the last moment.
The Launch Event.
Cameron, the Bishop Administrator of the Anglican Diocese of Brisbane launched the Anglican Identity course in a star-studded event at St Francis College on the 16th of February.
